Let's Talk About the Physical Work

Foodservice delivery is physical. Here's what to expect — and why the pay reflects it.

You'll lift and carry 20-80+ lbs per case using two-wheelers and pallet jacks we provide. Repetitive lifting throughout each shift.

The physical demand is exactly why US Foods pays $28.80/hr starting — sit-and-steer carriers pay significantly less.

Most drivers prefer staying active over sitting in a cab for 11 hours. Many report better health and energy.

You'll make 10+ stops per shift on local routes — and you're home every evening to recover. Weekends completely off.

This job isn't for everyone, and that's okay. But if you're willing to put in the work, the pay, schedule, and home time are hard to beat.
